Dr. Julie Wallace PT, DPT, CLT (she/her/hers) Founder of Insight Pelvic Health
Julie became a pelvic floor physical therapist to fulfill a lifelong dream of helping people feel better. Her passion for pelvic floor treatment comes from her own experience in her early 20s, when she completely peed her pants. Now as she enters perimenopause, she has a new passion of helping people navigate the physical changes of perimenopause and menopause. She knows firsthand how problems with the pelvic floor can cause people to suffer in silence, due to things like leaking, pain with sex, low back pain, or the physical toll of giving birth. She also knows how life-changing the right treatment can be.
Julie lives in Loveland, Colorado with her husband and two children. She loves biking, backpacking, skiing and yoga.
She graduated with a B.A. in Integrative Physiology and Psychology from University of Colorado, and then completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the Anschutz Medical School at the University of Colorado. She specializes in treating the pelvic floor and is certified in trigger point dry needling and lymphedema treatment. She has taken a plethora of continuing education courses focusing on treating people going through menopause, pregnant and postpartum people, pelvic floor dysfunctions, and visceral mobilization.
Dr. Sonny Miles practices integrative medicine and palliative care.
Her experience taking care of those with serious illness has fostered a special interest in intentional living and connecting our physical health with our emotional and spiritual journeys.
She received a bachelor’s degree in Brain and Cognitive Sciences from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She then spent two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Paraguay. After returning from South America, she completed medical school and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California at San Francisco. After working for several years as an internist with Indian Health Services in New Mexico, she pursued further training at the University of California at San Diego and Scripps Medical Center in hospice and palliative medicine. She also completed a fellowship in Integrative Medicine through the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and Integrative Medicine.
She is always looking for more ways to explore and understand healing and has completed additional training through the Whole Health Medical Institute founded by Dr. Lissa Rankin, medical acupuncture, yoga and ayurveda, and contemplative care. Her interest in healing and other traditions have taken her to explore spiritual healing and plant medicine in Paraguay, meet Mayan healers in Belize, and learn about traditional folk medicine in Mexico. She believes the journey to health is personal, often transformative, and deeply internal. She feels honored to accompany patients on their own unique journey towards wholeness and healing. She founded Healing with Intention Integrative Medicine in Loveland, Colorado.
She lives in Loveland with her husband, two sons, dogs and horses. Her soul care includes being in nature, horses, movement, meditation, shamanic journeying, and writing.
